With the summer, you die of heat, and the desire to stay cool by the sea or in the pool in the company or alone grows. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to go to the beach or the pool and so a more than good solution is to bring the pool home. In addition to the amateur solutions usually applied to entertain children, there are swimming pool models that can meet people of all ages. We are talking about above ground pools and real gems installed in the garden or on the terrace.
But which one to buy? How to choose the above ground pool?
Let’s see together which criteria to take into consideration to spend well and choose the above ground pool.
Type of above ground pool
There are three broad categories of above ground pools:
- Frame
- Self-supporting
- Rigid
The Frames have nothing inflatable, and they are supported by an external structure that acts as an exoskeleton. As they do not consist of inflatable parts, they do not incur punctures and can guarantee solidity and, consequently, a good duration over time. From a price point of view on the market, they are positioned in a medium range.
The self-supporting, as their name suggests, do not need any external support. They support themselves thanks to their inflatable ring. The price is average low compared to the others, and management is simplified.
Obviously, they fear adverse conditions, and it is not uncommon for them to run into any punctures. Furthermore, they must necessarily be disassembled at the end of the hot season as low temperatures subject them to great stress and cause them to break.
The rigid ones are the best. The price is considerable, and the management is not the easiest. The investment they require is worthwhile, considering the quality of the usually used materials (wood, steel). Furthermore, the duration over time is considerable. We are talking about decades!
It does not need to be disassembled for the cold season and aesthetically among the most appreciable.
When you have to choose the above ground pool, also pay attention to the accessories. In the case of pools with a certain height, the ladder may be necessary. Check that this is supplied; it will be necessary to purchase it.
If you need to check the pump’s presence with filters, they should be already present with the pool if you need them. They are usually already tested and working perfectly with that type of pool.
